Nuway's roots go all the way back to 1999 to an online grocery retailer: GroceryGateway.com. GroceryGateway was trying to change the world by asking customers to buy groceries over the internet.
GroceryGateway's unique business model prevented them from using an off-the-shelf solution. Much of the software had to be custom built or integrate into the pieces that could be bought.
A team of top-notch software developers was assembled to tackle the distinct business needs. GroceryGateway's website and logistics software was award winning. Team members were invited to be speakers at Microsoft and Bell workshops. Two projects were featured as case studies by Microsoft Canada and Microsoft Worldwide.
In September 2004, after 5 years of service, GroceryGateway declared bankruptcy. One piece of the company was sold to Longo's and one part (the courier division) was sold to Transforce. The development team was forced to disperse.
Nuway is the combination of key GroceryGateway team members along with other software industry experts. Their combined expertise is now available for companies needing elegant solutions to sophisticated problems.
If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.
